Ringing in the New Year with....

an early bedtime!

A brief description of a few past New Year's Eve celebrations:
-St. Lucia for our Honeymoon...amazing...
-Center City top-shelf open bar "Tour" that ended with a friend getting lost and me not even remembering what happened when I was told about it the next day...
-Rented Hall party with friends that ended with a fight and police activity...(I was a spectator, only!...Imagine me fighting - haha!)
-"Finish the Giant Bottle of Champagne First" race between Bob and I...
...for about 8 years, they were (pretty much) all wild and crazy...

A recap of last night's New Year's Even celebration:
-My parents came for dinner
-Bob and my brother played some X-Box
-"Rang in the New Year" with horns and poppers at 10:15 when Addy couldn't possibly stay awake for one more second..
-All four of us in bed and sleeping by 11:15.

Wow! How times have changed! I would assume that the majority of my friends' celebrations included a little something from my first list of descriptions. Bob and I are, basically, the odd-balls in our groups of friends.

It's okay. Because...

I wasn't expecting it, but as I put the two girls in their beds and woke Bob from the couch, something amazing happened... the butterflies in my stomach and the happiness I felt to be blessed with the gift of beginning another year with this little family of mine was totally overwhelming! (of course, overwhelming to the point of tears.....but I cry about everything!)
