Amazing Amy - totally bragging :)

There she is. Sleeping. And she did it all by herself....she always goes to sleep all by herself. This picture was taken shortly after she fell asleep for her morning nap. Her morning nap, by the way, is about 2 hours after she wakes up in the morning and after she eats her breakfast.....everyday! (I guess there is a link between looking exactly like her Daddy and requiring as much sleep as her Daddy.)

Amy does the thing I've often read about in books but didn't believe that it happened with real-life babies...."Put baby in crib drowsy but awake..... let baby teach herself to fall asleep." I never believed this was a possibility. Guess what: AMY DOES IT! She amazes me every single time I put her in there while she's completely awake and "talking" to me, then check back 5 minutes later to find her sleeping.

Oh! Also...when she wakes up, I often don't even realize she's awake for a while. She just lies in her crib and "talks" to the things around her. When I come in to get her, she kicks her legs like a crazy person and starts laughing and smiling!!

Thank you, Amy, for being the jolliest baby I've ever met. I hope that I don't do anything to alter your temperament!

(Disclosure: I feel as though I can openly brag about Amy because Addison was/is not a great sleeper. She does take a 2-hour nap each day and sleep through the night (most nights)...but it took a HUGE amount of work to get to this point!)
