As sad as it makes me that the greatest year of my life has flown by in the blink of an eye, I am proud to say that I did make productive use of this time home. Aside from rice/oatmeal cereal and Cheerios, Amy has never had any packaged/processed/prepared foods.
I don't necessarily think that commercial baby foods are bad. Heck, all of Addy's purees were jarred. I often bought the Earth's Best brand, which is as close to natural as you get, but I know that she was given various foods by her babysitters that I certainly would not have chosen for her. What was I to do, though? She also ate many of the different Gerber Graduate "snacks." She turned out fine, so I know there really is nothing particularly wrong with them....I just have a slight problem feeding my babies foods that take longer to expire than it does for them to be out of diapers ;)
