Approximately 132, 587 times per day, I think about all of the "habits" I should have and think to myself, "Why don't I just do these things??? It would be so easy, and would make my life so much easier."
A few examples:
-put a load of laundry in every morning when I come down the stairs
(would eliminate the monster that is currently upstairs...)
-Brush Addy's teeth before she gets down from her chair after breakfast and dinner.
(rather than remembering when we're out , like in the supermarket, where I can't do it AND/OR chasing her around the house!)
-Clean things as I see them
(rather than having to clean the whole house and getting very frustrated)
-Organize the mail everyday when it comes
(rather than dealing with the other monster down in the office)
-pay bills the day the come in the mail
(......not gonna say what I do instead...let's just say that if our bills are late, chances are it is not due to finances!)
-make a weekly menu on the weekend and buy the groceries needed
(we eat *okay* meals, but I would like to changes things up)
-Implementing the Rite Aid lesson Caroline taught us all a few weeks ago.
(I just bought nail polish. The tag said $3.00 single check rebate until 10/24. I told myself, "ehh, maybe I'll try it next time. This one's already over, and what's $3??? WHAT'S $3??? I DON'T HAVE A JOB!!!!!!!) (voluntarily, but still....c'mon Jamie!)
So, now that I've actually written down how much of a slacker I am, on to figure out what to do before bed.....
I don't do those things either. You're not alone. :) I also wonder why I don't do them.
ReplyDeleteI'm with the both of you. It's sad too - usually by the time I get all caught up on dishes & laundry I don't want to do anything else.
