Baby Carriers

I currently use a sling to carry around the baby. It's wonderful. I can hold her in a few different positions. My favorite is the "cradle" position, and I use it to put her to sleep. It holds her as though I were cradling her myself. I can hold her in there for a very long time, and she sleeps very well. I also do a "kangaroo pouch" hold (self-explanatory) and a "hip carry" (also self-explanatory).

Lately, though, I can't stop thinking about the Moby wrap. There are a few bad parts about my sling. When I hold her in the cradle position for too long, it gradually starts to slide down my shoulder and seriously limits the use of that arm. Also, she doesn't feel totally secure in the positions, so I still hold her a little....sort of defeating the purpose of the baby carrier. The Moby holds the baby completely secure.

Bad part about the Moby - It's $40 and I can not find it any cheaper! Also - it's a bit of a process to get it on. I've heard that it's really easy once you learn how to do it, but I'm a total goof....so I don't really trust myself. I'd hate to buy it and waste it.

Who knows - perhaps Santa will bring me one!

In the meantime, - here is sleeping Amy, snug as a bug in her sling...

  1. Yeah, I've been thinking I should get one of those. If you do, let me know how it goes.
