Productivity City!

Monday and Tuesday = extremely productive!!! For whatever reason, I hate doing laundry. Hate it. Even though I love every moment of being a "50's Housewife," I really slack in the laundry department, so Bob and I have a deal. He washes and dries. I fold and put away. He tends to wash and dry EVERYTHING on the same day. All of our 342,405 loads...(which is 100% better than me ever having to go near the washer) and I'm left with a couch full of clothes. Well, yesterday, that couch of clothes was folded and put away by 8:30am! Not knowing where the motivation and energy came from and fearing it'd soon leave, I thought, "what to do next?!?!"

Destination: CABINETS! I've been self-conscious about them since (3.5 years ago) we peeled wallpaper, spackled, sanded, and painted our entire house, but failed to clean the cabinets before painting. Hmm. Big regret.

So, Addison and I got a soapy bucket and a scrub brush....and we went to town....
After scrubbing them, I turned off the air conditioner, opened all of the windows, and turned on fans everywhere....(oh, and forced the children to stay far away from the kitchen....) and I wiped them with Scott's Liquid Gold.

(NOTE: The "after" pictures were taken long after the cleaner was dry and the kitchen was safe again!)

You're thinking to yourself, Hmm. Sounds like a lot of work with not a lot to show for it. I promise, in real-life, they look brand new. They feel brand new, as well.
After that.... I moved onto "Project: Become Rich Enough to Never Leave My Babies While Staying Home and Making Them and Other Cute Little Girls Gorgeous Bows!!!!"
This has it's own post, and it is coming soon!!! YAY!

  2. The main reason Rob doesn't work is so that I don't have to go near the laundry pile. ;)
I never noticed your cabinets were dirty, but I totally know how good it feels to have clean cabinets!
